My dear friend Bernhard Cella had the idea to this wonderful project.
I did graphical and information-architectural support and realized the website as a multilingua Wordpress CMS.

Im Begriff „Revolution“ verschmelzen die Idee von Rückkehr und Bewegung in einer Ordnungsvorstellung.

Seit mehr als drei Monaten habe ich „Launchy - the Open Source Keystroke Launcher for Windows“ im produktiven Einsatz. Darauf gestoßen bin ich über die Empfehlung eines Programmierers auf der Plone-Konferenz 2005 zum Programm Quicksilver nach der Suche zu einem Windows-Äquivalent desselbigen. Erstmals getestet hatte ich Launchy während dessen Beta-Phase letzten Jahres, ohne allerdings sofort den vollen Nutzen und den Effizienzmehrwert zu erkennen.

Worum handelt es sich bei Launchy:
Via Alt+Leertaste wird ein kleines Kommandofenster aufgerufen (dieses ist skinnable und es stehen von Grund auf einige Oberflächen zur Wahl), das auf Tastatureingabe eine Auswahl verschiedener in einem Index zur Verfügung stehender Befehle (Programme, Dateien, Webanfragen) anbietet. Und zwar vom ersten eingegebenen Buchstaben weg.

Chris Messina, ehemaliger Entwickler bei Flock und SpreadFirefox.com, hat einen ausführlichen und tiefgehenden Videomonolog seiner Gedanken und Sichtweisen zur Zukunft von Mozilla in einem absehbaren Netz der Rich Internet Applications vor dem Hintergrund des Entschlusses der Mozilla Foundation die Entwicklung des XULRunners einzustellen. Gut durchdachte und konkrete Einsichten!

To all pleasure seekers:
I’d liked to release early this time and I’ve really tried hard to get a beta-version of Brushed going for you as a little present right on 24th.
But I didn’t succeed as I got ill a few days ago and changes between the code base of Firefox 1.5 and 2.0 are more difficult than I’ve suspected (tabs are completely corrupted at the moment, no tab-closebutton to see at all).

I’m lookin forward releasing before New Year’s Eve, although I’m a very optimistic person as regards release dates. And working digitally and being optimistically is a contradiction in terms. ;)

Gestern hat Stefan Münz im Weblog von [tag]SELFHTML[/tag] einen Entwurf für ein SELFHTML-Wiki vorgestellt: http://wiki.meta-text.net/
Als langjähriger Anhänger und Nutznießer des Projekts finde ich diese Idee ausgesprochen sinnvoll, wenngleich nicht an eine radikale Öffnung der Inhalte (wie bspw. bei der Wikipedia, vermutlich keine GNU-Lizenz für frei Dokumentation oder vergleichbare) gedacht ist.
