Front-end Lead in development of new online business and code platform for Springer Science+Business Media London.
Extensive development research leading to HTML5-based Springer for R&D / SpringerLink websites, realized in agile methodology development, including f.e. enriching structured data (schema.org).
We took a mobile first strategy on a responsive grid, modularization partly following OOCSS principles, performance optimization through CSS3 transformations, animations, gradients on a grid based design.
Our work succeeded at various key performance indicators, for example search engine referrals (traffic source #1) increased by 125%, paid downloads by 86%, overall visits by 50% and we cut down page load times by about 50%.
The achievement confirmed is one of the top content websites in the world.
