Technical consulting, conception & lead front-end development on first HTML5-based country branch website (out of 60 countries company-wide).

Generali is one of the biggest European insurance companies, and the Austrian country website was used as development platform for other countries sub-companies.

Implementation highlights were progressive enhancement, enabling unhindered HTML5 experience in Internet Explorer 6 by usage of html5shiv, integration of accessibility recommendations like skip links and ARIA roles, partly CDN-based delivery and further front-end performance measurements.

Optimized in half-a-dozen browser rendering engines and testing in 30+ browsers (product versions) for cross-browser corporate design perfection.
