Hi to all the people outside waiting for Brushed for Firefox 2.
I’ve received many, many e-mails during the recent weeks asking for a new version and one person – thanks Huji – even brought in lines of code.

Seite 2 von 3Fight against Comment Spam in WordPress
As some might have noticed, this blog was down for several hours/days in the last few weeks.
The reason for this was COMMENT SPAM.
In the beginning (around 6 months ago) I thought on getting along with it without countermeasure. But spam rose to a climax of about 30 per day. I’ve received somewhat 1000 unsolicited comments, only two of them were published – by accident. This is due to the very well-done comment-handling tools in WordPress. But I like to know what people are writing on my site, so I am getting an e-mail whenever a comment needs approvement. So it got an unbearable situation.
Solutions: Turing-Test, collaborative fight?!

Brushed surpasses 1 million download mark
Yes, that’s alright! I haven’t observed the numbers that vigilantly, as Brushed for Firefox must already have surpassed 1.000.000 downloads at addons.mozilla.org for more than a week now. This are only the numbers of downloads from their site, at mine are a few tenthousands more.
Thanks a lot to all of you, who have already downloaded and appreciated using it and who have given support to improve this theme. For all others: GO, GET IT!

User Experience: Message Boxes in Brushed
A few days ago I came across this bug in bugzilla. Kevin Gerich has changed the Fx default theme’s so-called alert icons:
New alert icons for Winstripe (Deer Park)
From Comment #03 on this thread is getting really interesting. Dean Tessman provides a link to an MSDN-article, where the usage of Message Box Types and their graphical symbols are pointed out.
According to it, the usage of the question mark message symbol is not recommended (any longer): Weiterlesen
